Here at Designory HQ, we pride ourselves on our social responsibility. Our office policy includes:

using recycled paper for all print work
recycling all our office waste
using Fairtrade products
using green suppliers

We're trying to minimise the time we spend on the road, and we don't use planes to travel at all. We're working hard to offset our carbon emissions, planting trees and supporting the environment.

But that's not enough. We'd like to harness the power of the sun; as a company, we use a fair amount of electricity to power computers, servers, and lighting. That's why we're investing our time to create new partnerships with lean, green suppliers throughout the UK.

Why? Because we love where we live, and we want it to stay that way.
What does it mean to our customers? Well, the cost of our services is very competitive. And on top of that, our customers know we're trying our best to protect the thing that belongs to all of us.

new community website launch

We've just launched a brand new community website, designed to allow the residents of Sheringham the opportunity to create news, produce interviews, comment on articles, and chronicle the changes to Sheringham town over time.

"Sheringham is ever-changing; there are several newspapers, Facebook Groups, and partnership websites but no single online community where content can be created, viewed, and archived for the future" stated Rob Sayles, founder of the Sheringham Chronicle. "Having spent a lot of time working with the web, both professionally and personally, we wanted to create something new that would empower the community to create content from any internet-ready device."

The ethos behind the concept is that the community can start to produce their own photo-journalism, articles, and written commentary - by participating in this kind of organic project, the people of Sheringham will create a chronicle that will grow over time.

Access to the website is free; once registered, any member of the community can create new articles, upload images and video, and comment on other member content. Once established, the Sheringham Chronicle will also be extended to support mobile devices, free e-news subscription, local business advertising, and a range of social networking tools.

pushing skate forward

Busy times with the Sheringham Skate Project - we're working hard to provide PR with a range of promotional mailers, leaflets & signage, a new Youtube channel, and an Xbox game designed around the Maverick Industries park concepts.

We've also just finished supporting the 2011 Sheringham Skate Jam; next steps are to overhaul the Group's website, creating galleries for images and video as well as encoding and publishing PDF documents for download. And that's not all - we'll be adding a blog & news system soon, along with an e-newsletter facility to empower the Club Committee with rapid news publishing & distribution.

We'll also be working with the Group to enable online document sharing & authoring for the Committee - this will allow third party funding organisations to access important information on-demand.
